The fuel pump is made up of an electric motor, a pressure limiter and a check valve. The motor is actually working in the fuel of the oil pump shell. There is no worry about it because there is nothing inside the shell that can be ignited. The fuel can lubricate and cool the fuel motor, the oil outlet is equipped with a check valve and the pressure limiter is located on the pressure side of the oil pump shell. It has a channel that leads to the inlet of the oil.

When the oil pump is closed, the check valve of the oil outlet is closed to prevent the fuel oil through the oil pump to flow back to the tank and check the valve maintained burning. The pressure of the tubing is called "residual pressure".
The maximum oil pressure of the fuel pump is dependent on the standard of the pressure limiter. If the pressure of the fuel pump exceeds the predetermined pressure, the pressure limiter will open the bypass to flow the fuel back to the inlet of the oil pump.
